Gorebridge High School Information Evening
Gorebridge has been on the short-list for a new High School for several years, but has never formally progressed further than the initial proposal stage. As the population of the village grows, it is becoming increasingly clear that existing school infrastructure is under strain. So, it was very good news that at a meeting of Midlothian Council earlier in 2021 the Council unanimously approved a large capital investment programme that included a new secondary school for Gorebridge.
Your Community Council, working with other community groups and adjacent Community Councils, secured a public meeting with representatives from Midlothian Council to present where they are with the project and what the next steps are, as well as take part in a question and answer session. This took place on Tuesday 31 August.
