Buy your Gorebridge 2020 Christmas Card
The Community Council ran a photography competition and invited members of the public to submit images of Gorebridge that could be printed on a Christmas card. The competition was judged by acclaimed Scottish photographer Colin Baxter, and he chose an entry by Anna Martin as the winner. Of the image, he said:
"Photography is all about grabbing the moment, ‘grabbing rectangles’, from what just looks good, & this picture does exactly that. Nicely composed with the sun off-centre & great silhouettes & vibrant colour. I can imagine being there (cold but warm!) & capturing that feeling, which you have, is important for sharing, & very pleasing to see. Well done! A sunset (or is it a sunrise) to remember!"
Cards, sold in aid of Gorebridge Community Cares, are now available for pre-order. Packs of 5 or 10 A5-sized cards, with envelopes, can be ordered here:

We are using the Made in Midlothian (MiM) Marketplace to sell the cards. MiM is a community arts organisation that showcases the creative and performing talent of Midlothian. They have generously waived their own Marketplace fees for our charity Christmas card. If you are looking for local, handmade gifts this year you can find a wide range on their Marketplace (as well as buying our card, of course!).
