The Community Council received today a set of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs) detailed changes to be made to car parking in four Midlothian towns, including Gorebridge. These come into effect on Monday 3 August 2020. There are three orders implementing the following changes in Gorebridge:
This is all to allow for barriers to be placed on Main Street in order to effectively widen the pavement to allow for adequate social distancing of shoppers as part of Midlothian Council's Spaces for People initiative. Attached below are the TTROs received and the plans that go with them.

it would help if the wheelie bins were taken off the pavements after emptying. They seem to be a permanent feature

I am wondering where I am meant to park. I work in the solicitors in the main street. I have a disabled badge and walking any lengthy distance is a challenge. Can you help?

The pavement in Main Street is wider than average and poses no social distancing problem as the footfall is very low. The nursery and businesses in Main Street depend on the car parks in Hunterfield Road. Where are they supposed to park their vehicles? The surrounding roads are already congested with parked cars.

Parking for residents that live on Hunters Square is problematic enough without more changes being implemented. Is there any way to oppose this?
